stock control module available for WebShop

Although our ecommerce solutions have always allowed our clients to add stock control functionality, this has been bespoke and usually quite complex.

WebShop is now available with a fully featured stock control system which can easily be integrated with your EPOS or accounts package via standard file transfer protocols such as XML, CSV or SQL replication.

Our stock control system is more than just a stock counter removing items from stock as they are added to the basket. It has an excellent level of intelligence and caters for that eventuality where stock is low and multiple customers add the same items to their basket.

Our system checks the number of items the shopper adds to their basket against stock levels. It notifies them if they have added more items than are available. It cleverly leaves in the basket the amount left in stock and notifies the client of the shortage. The stock is only removed from the system once payment has been made. For this reason we check on stock again when we process the payment to ensure that another shopper has not acquired the items at the same time. If the items have been sold then the system notifies the customer and allows them to purchase only the available stock.
