Testament to our CMS:42 product the old Happy Puzzle site, initially launched in 2010 was still running on the same underlying platform. Other than a bit of a front-end refresh to introduce a responsive skin and a rebrand not much has changed under the bonnet since the site was launched.
The site is one of our busiest, taking multiple orders every minute, it also has full integration with Happy Puzzle’s order fulfilment system.
But a change within the business structure and the introduction of new warehouse system gave us the opportunity to work on a completely new website with our latest version of CMS:42.
The site benefits from all new lightweight, search engine friendly and fully responsive HTML. The client now has so much more control over the site, thanks to the last 10 years development of the CMS.
In addition to the standard CMS:42 modules, we wrote an entirely bespoke stock control and warehouse system that integrates with two different APIs for their warehouses to dispatch orders from.
The Happy Puzzle Company also still do a large percentage of their trade through more traditional methods. Newspaper advertisements and ‘through the post’ catalogues encourage customers to call to place orders. The CMS has an all new Manual Order system allowing call centre staff to follow a streamlined script and process orders through on behalf telephone customers. Utilising the same system as the website ensures stock levels, and reporting are all within a single solution.
