Long time client Essex Highways comissioned Webnetism to deliver a mobile-first platform to transform how highways works are communicated to homeowners and businesses. Current communication relies on letters or leaflets (ideally two weeks ahead), basic One Network permit data, limited scheme pages on the Essex Highways website, and social media (mainly Facebook). Information is often static, inconsistent, hard to keep up to date.

In this new Works Communicator for Essex Highways, residents simply scan a QR code on a letter or site sign and land on a clear scheme page - no app, no login. There they find treatment details, phasing, dates, times and FAQs, can ask questions, subscribe to live updates via email and SMS, share links and leave feedback.

Engineers create and update content on the go from their phones - photos, progress posts, status changes, while answering public queries. Administrators manage access, moderate quality and track engagement and satisfaction.
